Booking Terms and Conditions

Welcome to New Brighton Safaris. By booking a safari with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Reservation and Payment

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to secure your booking.
• Final Payment: The balance of the safari cost is due 60 days prior to your departure date.
• Last-Minute Bookings: For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required immediately to confirm the reservation.
• Methods of Payment: We accept bank transfers (telegraphic transfers). Please note that all bank charges are for the client’s account.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellation charges are based on the total safari price and the date we receive your notice:

• More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit (30%).
• 59 to 30 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost.
• 29 to 15 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost.
• 14 days or less before departure, or no-show: 100% of total tour cost.

Please note: We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance immediately upon booking to cover against unforeseen circumstances, including medical emergencies, trip interruption, and cancellation.

3. Age and Health Requirements

• Minimum Age: The minimum age for children on a mobile safari is 6 years. Children under 12 may be subject to specific parental guidance rules and will be at the discretion of the guide.
• Health: You must be in good physical and mental health to participate in a mobile camping safari. While no extreme fitness is required, you should be able to get in and out of safari vehicles and walk short distances. Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or allergies at the time of booking.

4. Itinerary Flexibility

Botswana’s wilderness is wild and unpredictable. While we always endeavour to operate itineraries as described, New Brighton Safaris reserves the right to alter routes, schedules, and accommodations without prior notice due to:

• Unforeseen weather conditions (e.g., flooding or drought).
• Wildlife behaviour and movement patterns.
• Governmental restrictions or park regulations.
• Mechanical issues or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Our guiding principle: Your safety and the best possible safari experience will always come first.

5. Inclusions and Exclusions

Included in your safari price:

• All accommodation and camping equipment (as per your chosen package).
• All meals and non-alcoholic drinks while on safari.
• Services of a professional, experienced guide and camp crew.
• All ground transport in a specialised safari vehicle.
• Park and entrance fees.

Excluded from your safari price:

• All flights and airport transfers (unless pre-arranged).
• Travel and medical insurance.
• Visas and passport fees.
• Alcoholic beverages, curios, and personal items.
• Gratuities for guides and camp staff.
• Any activities not mentioned in the itinerary.

6. Liability

New Brighton Safaris acts only as an agent for the various independent suppliers providing accommodation, transport, or other services. All coupons, receipts, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier. We are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage sustained in connection with any services provided. Participation in adventurous activities carries inherent risks, and you agree to assume those risks.

7. Insurance

It is a mandatory condition of booking that all clients must have comprehensive travel insurance. This must cover medical expenses, personal accident, repatriation, cancellation, and loss of baggage or personal effects.
